Scanning
Look before the decision moment arrives.
PREPLAYIQ · Football Intelligence Hub
Scanning means looking beyond your immediate focus before the next action is fixed. You seek information about space, pressure, teammates, opponents and possible playing directions.
01 / What this means
Frequency alone is not enough. A scan is useful when it happens at a relevant moment, captures important cues and helps shape the next position or action.
The Knowledge Engine connects Scanning to body orientation, space, passing lanes and the weak side. A dedicated Scanning game will receive scenarios only after its measurement rubric has been reviewed.
